Getting Started
If you would like to get in touch to arrange a free preliminary telephone consultation, please phone or complete the form below. I will always try to get back to you within two working days. If you don't hear back from me, please check your spam folder or telephone me in case there has been a technical problem. If I am away for an extended period, I will state this on my voicemail.
Preliminary Telephone Consultation
I offer a free fifteen-minute telephone consultation to discuss your concerns and decide whether to arrange an initial consultation to meet and explore further. I will also email you relevant paperwork for you to read and sign before the initial meeting.
Initial Consultation
The initial consultation is 90 minutes. It is an opportunity to discuss the concerns you have about your child in-depth and gather information about their development, family history, and significant events. I can also address any questions you might have about psychotherapy and my way of working. If we think psychotherapy may be helpful, we can make a plan for the best way forward.
Generally, both the child and parents/caregivers attend the initial consultation, where we usually talk together and separately. If your child is aged 12 or under, I recommend both parents/caregivers attend this consultation, and we meet with your child again for a second session, as this will allow us to gather relevant information and discuss any sensitive issues. For children over the age of 12, we can discuss what would be most helpful in which family member attends during the preliminary telephone consultation.
If your child does not want to attend the sessions or is reluctant to access support, I could offer support via parent work sessions. For more detailed information about this way of working, please click here...[link to parent work]
